The Government of Vietnam has just issued Resolution No. 127/NQ-CP dated August 14, 2023 on the issues of Vietnam e-visa (Vietnamese electronic visa) to citizens of all countries and territories. At the same time, increase the duration of stay from 30 days to 90 days, as follows:

- Before August 15, 2023: The Government of Vietnam applies to grant Vietnam evisa to 80 countries and territories, the duration of stay is 30 days at a time, no extension is allowed.

- From 15/08/2023: The Government of Vietnam applies to grant Vietnam evisa to all countries and territories, the duration of stay is 90 days single or multiple.

The Vietnamese government grants Vietnam e-visa to all countries for the purpose of developing tourism, creating favorable conditions for tourists to quickly enter Vietnam, simple procedures and temporary stay. in Vietnam longer. - The 16 land border gates that allow e-visas are Tay Trang (Dien Bien Province), Mong Cai (Quang Ninh), Huu Nghi (Lang Son), Lao Cai, Na Meo (Thanh Hoa), Nam Can (Nghe An), Cau Treo (Ha Tinh), Cha Lo (Quang Binh), La Lay and Lao Bao (Quang Tri), Bo Y (Kon Tum), Moc Bai and Xa Mat (Tay Ninh), Tinh Bien and Vinh Xuong (An Giang) and Ha Tien (Kien Giang).

- Thirteen sea border gates also allow e-visas: Hon Gai and Cam Pha (Quang Ninh), Hai Phong, Nghi Son (Thanh Hoa), Vung Ang (Ha Tinh), Chan May (Thua Thien Hue), Da Nang, Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa), Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh), Dung Quat (Quang Ngai), Vung Tau (Ba Ria Vung Tau), HCMC and Duong Dong (Kien Giang).

Also on 14 August, the government decided to extend the duration of stays in Vietnam from 15 to 45 days for citizens of 13 countries who are unilaterally exempted from visas by Vietnam. These countries are Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the U.K., Northern Ireland, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Belarus. Citizens of these countries are allowed to stay for 45 days from the time of entry, regardless of passport type and entry purpose.

The list of documents required to apply for a Vietnam e-visa from August 15, 2023 is as follows:

1. Apply Vietnam e-visa for tourist purposes:

- Photo file of the information side of the passport, valid for more than 6 months (the photo file is clear and neat)

- 1 file of 4x6 portrait photos, white background, taken in the last 3 months.

- Name, address, phone number of the hotel.

- Name, address, phone number of the person of Hotel.

2. Apply Vietnam e-visa for visiting relatives:

- Photo file of the information side of the passport, valid for more than 6 months (the photo file is clear and neat)

- 1 file of 4x6 portrait photos, white background, taken in the last 3 months.

- Occupational information.

- The address will be in Vietnam

- Time to stay in Vietnam (from which date to which date)

- Time spent in Vietnam within the last 1 year (From which date to which date), purpose (recorded according to the Visa applied for)

- Phone number to contact when needed in Vietnam (if any)

3. Apply Vietnam e-visa for business purposes:

- Photo file of the information side of the passport, valid for more than 6 months (the photo file is clear and neat)

- 1 file of 4x6 portrait photos, white background, taken in the last 3 months.

- Occupational information.

- Name, address, phone number of the enterprise in Vietnam.

- Name, phone number of the representative of the company in Vietnam.
