Despite apparently lacking the funds to host fireworks during New Years Eve, Hanoi has somehow managed to afford displays at 31 locations throughout the city on the Lunar New Year’s Eve (February 7, 2016), a local official surprisingly announced.
According to Director of the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the fireworks to be held at the places of 30 local districts and towns and will last for 15 minutes.
Pyrotechnic shows will be held at Hoan Kiem Lake, My Dinh National Stadium, Van Quan Urban Area and some other downtown areas, while smaller firework shows are planned in several districts.
Art performances are also set to take place at Ly Thai To Flower Garden, the central area of Ha Dong and Tay Ho District and My Dinh National Stadium and some other places on Lunar New Year Eve.
